Scope: On May 12, 2017, AT&T Houston Emerging Leaders united to support Senate Bill 1004, which would ensure Texans and Texas businesses continue to have access to the most technologically advanced wireless infrastructure. Local leaders sent Texas lawmakers key messaging to lay essential groundwork for implementing 5th generation wireless networks.

Strategy: We identified and activated the 20 most influentIal leaders out of a database of 100 Houston- based African American professionals. Within a mere 24 hours, 15 passionate leaders contacted Texas lawmakers in support of the bill, utilizing our tools to effectively connect with their elected officials.
Assessment:This successful community activation demonstrates the direct correlation between developing authentic relationships with local influencers and furthering AT&T’s overarching mission. The quantifiable recognition of diversity through tangible initiatives bolsters consumer brand loyalty and public education by showcasing AT&T’s commitment to inclusion.
