Houston Bikers to Ride 60 Miles to Raise Funds for The Rose, the Leading Breast Cancer Awareness and Detection Organization

The Annual Event is Back for Another Ride Following a Record Breaking Year

Houston, TX, – April 28, 2015 – The 7th Annual Bikers Against Breast Cancer (BABC) event, will be held on Saturday, May 9th, from 8:30am to 3pm at the San Jacinto Harley Davidson store located at 3636 E. Sam Houston Parkway South, Pasadena, TX 77505. Following a record-breaking year in 2014, the fundraising goal of this year’s event is to surpass $100,000. Proceeds benefit The Rose, which is the leading non-profit organization that specializes in breast cancer detection and providing access to care for all.

The event officially starts at 8:30am, with the 60 mile round trip ride beginning at 10:30 am to conclude with an afternoon of live music from Revamp, food from local vendors and a silent & live auction. Among the many auction items is a Sons of Anarchy Limited Edition 30 Disc Complete Series Box set with a BABC shirt autographed by the shows cast members, Tommy Flanagan and Ryan Hurst.

“Thanks to the generous donations received from the community, The Rose is able to provide quality breast health care to the many women throughout the year, who are both insured and uninsured,” said Charles Christy, BABC Committee Chair. “There is no better time to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer services, than on Mother’s Day Weekend, when we can celebrate the important women in our lives.”

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for BABC. Donations will directly support the important healthcare opportunities that The Rose provides for all women, regardless of their ability to pay.
