Ashley Small, President/CEO



Ashley takes great pleasure in helping others step into the spotlight. Whether working with a local business, a national brand, or a prominent political figure, her proven branding and marketing strategies have empowered clients to expand their reach and increase brand awareness.

She founded Medley, Inc. in 2009 to marry traditional PR strategies with the latest technology.

With training in communications and deep experience in social media and public relations, Ashley has earned national recognition. In 2011, she was named a “Face of Houston” by *Fast Company* for her entrepreneurial spirit. In 2015, she was recognized as one of *Houston Business Journal*'s 40 Bizwomen Mentors.

Prior to founding Medley, Ashley worked with top national brands, political figures, and nonprofits such as Nintendo, Chili’s, former Houston Mayor Bill White, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Ashley’s impact extends far beyond her business. She actively serves with several nonprofit organizations including Girls Inc., Women Empowering Nations, Lemonade Day Houston, and the I'm Me Foundation. Through her community work, she has educated and trained hundreds of girls and budding entrepreneurs in technology, social media, and character building.

Ivis Batista, Senior Client and Project Manager



Ivy Batista is a strategic communications professional who specializes in managing complex campaigns across government, healthcare, and mission-driven sectors. As Senior Client and Project Manager at Medley Inc., she leads project timelines, deliverables, and client communications, ensuring seamless execution across campaigns. Ivy oversees the work of staff and contractors, helps implement and optimize strategic plans for clients, and manages Medley’s project management systems for tracking hours, accounts, and deliverables. She also plays a key role in onboarding new clients, staff, contractors, and interns to Medley’s systems and processes.

Before joining Medley, Ivy led statewide outreach for Medicaid at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, where she helped launch the agency’s first digital-first campaign. She has also served as a key communications advisor across city and state agencies, specializing in crisis response, equity-focused messaging, and cross-sector collaboration.

Ivy holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in African American Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from LSU Shreveport. She brings a sharp strategic lens, deep commitment to equity, and a proven ability to execute high-impact campaigns in complex environments.

Kristyn Beecher is an Emmy and Edward R. Murrow award-winning communications professional with over eight years of experience in broadcast journalism and strategic content development. A proud graduate of Hampton University, Kristyn built her career as a news producer, writing headlines, managing breaking news, and leading teams committed to telling stories that matter.

At Medley, she brings that same storytelling rigor and cultural insight to mission-driven campaigns that elevate community voices and drive meaningful engagement. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Project Sleep, where she advocates for sleep health and contributes to national media strategies that center lived experiences.

Whether producing content, building visibility for purpose-driven brands, or amplifying underrepresented narratives, Kristyn leads with empathy, clarity, and a deep belief in the power of storytelling to inspire change.

With a keen eye for detail, Mel serves as a Digital Quality Control Specialist at Medley Incorporated, where they ensure the accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment of digital content across multiple social media platforms. Mel bring strong organizational skills and a collaborative spirit to the role, reviewing everything from copy to multimedia elements to guarantee the highest standards before publication.

Outside the digital realm, Mel is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach through NASM, dedicated to helping individuals reach their fitness and wellness goals through customized workout and nutrition plans. Their holistic approach blends expert guidance with motivational support, empowering clients to take control of their health and build lasting habits.

Whether refining content or coaching a client through a transformation, Mel is driven by a commitment to excellence and meaningful impact.
